The scientific committee, composed of Magrebins, Mediterraneans, Europeans and a member of the International Society of Radiology, has organized a scientific program aimed at the major developments and contribution of imaging methods, based on the diversification of its more pertinent and less invasive methods The general theme of the congress is “Towards efficient radiology for all”.
The sessions will be held simultaneously in 9 different rooms at the Palais des Congrès during 4 days. The program includes more than 400 lectures delivered by renowned international speakers (please refer to the list of delegates). The congress consists of a broad educational experience covering all fields of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging, radiotherapy, and nuclear medicine. Sessions will also be devoted to management, radioprotection, radiophysics, e-learning and education. Three plenary sessions are planned: the Antoine Béclère and Walter Fuchs lectures and the interpretation session. Pr. Elias Zerhouni, director at the US National Institute of Health, will present the Antoine Béclère lecture. Pr. Francisco Arredondo, former president of the ISR (International Society of Radiology), co-chairman of the scientific committee will deliver the Walter Fuchs lecture. The interpretation session, of great pedagogical interest, will focus on 8 teaching files presented by a panel of 4 experts. The Scientific Exhibition will include 425 electronic posters, available on fifty computer monitors. Workshops on musculoskeletal ultrasound, breast imaging and virtual colonoscopy will be organized. For the first time, the International Congress of Radiology will be enhanced by 4 continental sessions with the participation of the prestigious continental societies namely, Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), , European Society of Radiology (ESR), Colegio Interamericano de Radiologia (CIR) and Asian and Oceanian Society of Radiology (AOSR). This program is accredited for the moment by the American College of Radiology, and the French and Spanish Societies of Radiology. This continuous education will include sessions for radiographers organized with the collaboration of ISRRT (International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists) and AFPPE (French Association of the Paramedical Personnel of Electroradiology). This congress will host sessions organized by the Maghrebian Federation of Radiology (FMR), and the Pan Arab Association of Radiological Societies (PAARS) as well as the 11th International Congress of the Mediterranean and African Society of Ultrasound (MASU). On behalf the Scientific Committee, I would like to warmly thank all national and international societies for their precious support in the organization of the 25th ICR: the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) , the American College of Radiology (ACR) , the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) , the Armed Force Institute of Pathology (AFIP), the Asian and Oceanian Society of Radiology (AOSR), the Colegio Interamericano de Radiologia (CIR) , the European Society of Radiology (ESR) , the French Society of Radiology (SFR) ,t he Spanish Society of Radiology (SERAM) , the Italian Society of Medical Radiology (SIRM) ,the German Society of Radiology (DRG) ,the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM),the Maghrebian Federation of Radiology (FMR) , the Pan Arab Association of Radiological Societies (PAARS) ,the Mediterranean and African Society of Ultrasound (MASU) , the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT) , the French Association of the Paramedical Personnel of Electroradiology (AFPPE)...
