|
The Jemma el Fna Square, life-size theatre was classified as UNESCO World Heritage in 2001. The Square is a large esplanade where it is possible to attend each day the innumerable performances of the jugglers, snake charmers, dancers and other traveling acrobats. Each one of them delivers his own “halqa”, an imaginary circle blessed by a saint, and presents his show. Jemaa el-Fna is a large square, on which, every morning, the spice and fruit stallholders, the basket makers and the hardware dealers meet together. The magic of this square has been going on for centuries. When the sun goes down, the square turns into a magical and mesmerizing site of spectacle and entertainment. |
