The Majorelle Garden
The garden bears the name of its creator, Jacques Majorelle, painter and botany lover. Majorelle came to Marrakesh in 1917 due to tuberculosis and created the garden around his workshop.

Repurchased in 1962 by the fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, the garden was fully rehabilitated. Splendid bougainvilleas spread their perfume throughout the property.

The old blue cobalt villa of the painter, built in an art-deco style, became a small museum of Islamic Art where one can discover carpets and ceramics of various villages of the south.
