On behalf of the Executive Committee of the International Society of Radiology (ISR), I have the great honor and privilege to invite you to the 25th International Congress of Radiology which will be held in Marrakesh, June 5-8, 2008. |
||
The Moroccan Society of Radiology and Professor Farida Imani, President of the Moroccan Organizing Committee for ICR 2008, and Secretary-General Professor Noureddine Chakir, have chosen the imperial city of Marrakesh to host the congress.
City with a millenary historical and cultural past, Marrakesh is one of the most fascinating cities in the world and offers all facilities for accommodation, conventions and tourism. The theme of the congress “Towards Efficient Radiology for All” reflects the wish and the goal of the ISR to develop and advance radiology through education and scientific research throughout the world, and particularly in developing countries. The scientific program, chaired by Professor Abdelhafid Sbihi, is a clever blend of topics, from latest developments in diagnostic and therapeutic imaging to educational and refresher courses presented by famed international speakers. The privileged location of Northern Africa on the Mediterranean shore also offers an unique opportunity to gather all the countries of the Mediterranean basin. The ICR is also the occasion for national and continental societies of radiologists and radiographers to share and exchange professional experience, knowledge, and friendship. The Executive Committee of the ISR is also deeply indebted to the French Society of Radiology for its efficient support to the Moroccan Organizing Committee. We do hope that you will come numerous to attend the 2008 ICR meeting in Marrakesh. Prof. Claude Manelfe, M.D. President, International Society of Radiology |
