It is an honor for me to be the Honorary President of ICR 2008. There couldn’t have been a better choice than Marrakesh for the congress, as it is a particularly welcoming city with mixed cultural influences. Because it will take place at the crossroads of civilizations, ICR should bring together all the Europeans attracted to the South and all the Africans attracted by the North. The organizing ability and skills of our Moroccan colleagues and the facilities available in Marrakech are key to the success of ICR 2008. In addition, the program offers an exciting wide scale overview of the most important aspects of our specialty, thank to the participation of the best faculty of the world. Some lecturers will also evoke the difficulties faced by their countries so as to suggest better solutions for the future. With the support of the most important international and national radiological societies, ICR will be a fascinating meeting and you will never forget it !
